Fleas shut down school
THE Bon Air Government Primary School has been closed until further notice, as the authorities deal with a flea infestation at the school. A caller yesterday told Newsday that there is a dog with puppies living on the school’s compound. The caller complained that besides the fleas, there were also rats on the compound. The Ministry of Education yesterday said the school was closed on Tuesday until further notice. Marcia Riley, Communications Ad-visor, said the principal and supervisors are working with the Regional Corporation to address the problem.
