The need for a better tomorrow
Look at the the repeated stories and then you may get some idea of what is going here. There are calls for this and that to be done which are just repeated cries in the wilderness.
The trouble is we have heard it all before and nothing has been done. Politicians here love to go around in circles and this is exactly what our brigade in the corridors of power are now doing.
We are simply making no headway.
Come to think of it, it would be pointless putting a different brigade in power. It will be simply a waste of time. They all share the same mentality and a lust for Treasury funds.
I think it would be far better if Columbus could start all over again by rediscovering this island and gave some other nation a chance to recommence colonisation.
This nation, our two island, means nothing to our politicians here. They are only interested in the income generated by gas and oil. They have since our independence destroyed almost all of our local natural resources of survival.
The strange thing about it all, they do not seem to have any idea of how to start a diversification programme. We must face the facts, we have no one here of calibre that could transform our way of life.
The rich don’t care a hoot about the poor here. All we can now look forward to is more poverty and unemployment and more crime andd lawlessness.
