Arima Borough Council hails Cooper, Narine

In a press release yesterday, the Arima Borough Council said it “especially applauds the stunning performances of Arima’s very own Kevon Cooper and Sunil Narine. The two have consistently made the borough proud from their foundation days at Arima Boys RC Primary School to this present achievement.

Their dedication to the sport that they love is noted by the council as it extends a heartfelt congratulations to the two who continue to dominate the cricket scene.” Cooper, Man-of-the- Match in the final, took two wickets for 12 runs and struck a brisk 29 not out from 14 balls with two fours and two sixes to lift the Knight Riders to victory after they found themselves in trouble with seven wickets down. Narine was also impressive on the night with the most economic spell ever in a CPL knockout game – one wicket for eight runs from four overs.
