Hats off to Mr Singh

THE EDITOR: Hats off to Mr Gopaul Singh of San Juan for his comment in Wednesday’s edition of “People on the street” concerning the quality of music for this year. Out of the six questioned, he was the only one who did not like the music put out for this year and commented that the lyrics should be more constructive and geared towards guiding the youth along a more positive path instead of just “mashing up de place.” I don’t know what radio station the other five listen to, or what they consider to be “good music.” Yes, I agree that there should be “party” tunes, but what happen to the “good lyrics” calypsoes?
