Cops to consult DPP today on murder
An autopsy will be carried out today on the body of 40-year old Arima bartender Dale Matthews, whose body was found behind a burger cart at Sorzano Street, Arima, early Saturday. Following the autopsy, homicide officers will consult with Director of Public Prosecutions Geoffrey Henderson for directions in the matter.
A 30-year old unemployed man has already confessed to the police that he used a stone to bash in the head of Matthews. The suspect was in custody yesterday. He was arrested on Saturday after he went to the Arima Police Station to report the disappearance of Matthews. The mother of two is expected to be buried later this week.
