Nanan, Logie Under-15s teams clash

BUOYED with their overwhelming victory over Gomes Division, defending champions Nanan Division (Central Zone) will be confident when they take on Logie Division (South Zone) in a second round British Gas Under-15 fixture today. Venue is the PowerGen Ground, Syne Village, Penal. In the other match scheduled today, Gomes Division (North-East) will host Dhanraj Division (South-East) at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain. Bishop Division have a bye.

Nanan Division will once again depend on national Under-15 star batsman Adrian Barath for the inspiration, which he displayed in securing their first win of the season last week Wednesday at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain. Barath piloted his team to a convincing seven-wicket win over Gomes Division. He was undefeated on 38 and scored the winning runs. The skipper received solid support from opener Richard Ramlal who stayed for 39 overs for his personal tally of 19 but was dismissed with four runs required for victory. Logie Division suffered a shock 12-run defeat to Bishop Division at the Riversdale Ground. They were dismissed for 123 after well placed at 100 for three wickets. Bishop’s team made 135 runs.
