Man hangs self after fete

AN Arouca man hanged himself yesterday morning after partying all night at ‘the Cooler Fete’ held at Pier 1, Chaguaramas. According to police reports, around 8.30 am yesterday after hearing a crashing sound coming from the family’s 272 10th Street, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca built in-gym, Andrea Navarro rushed inside to find the body of her son, Jason Navarro, dead in a crouched position with a rope around his neck. A bench press which he had apparently stood on, was found lying on the ground. According to police reports shortly after reaching home the drunk URP labourer got into an argument with a relative over his drunkenness.

The angry muscular man left to take a bath and was not seen again until his body was found. Sources confirmed that the father of one had developed a drinking problem since Christmas and had threatened to kill himself many times when his family confronted him on it. He had claimed no one liked him and the only way anyone would be happy is if he was dead. PC Fraser is continuing inquiries.
