2 escape truck mishap

TWO MEN escaped with minor injuries from a loaded fuel  truck which overturned on the Solomon Hochoy Highway yesterday morning. The incident occurred around 8.40 am when driver Vishnu Selvon, employed with National Transportation Co-operation Society Ltd on Cipero Street, San Fernando, and another worker were proceeding on the northbound lane.

The truck was loaded with diesel. On reaching Marabella Junior Secon-dary School, police said, the left front tyre of the truck blew out. Selvon lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the highway and overturned. Selvon and his passenger were taken to the hospital by an EHS ambulance, where they were treated and discharged. There was no leakage of diesel from the truck’s tank.
