TT on the path to dictatorship

THE EDITOR: I write this letter from a layman’s point of view, and I have to conclude that the way the present regime is running the affairs of the country, I believe that we are seeing a dictatorship in the embryonic stages. One looks at the meddling of the PM, in certain cases that should be left to the respective ministry, building houses in marginal areas to house the influx of Grenadians, Vincentians and others.

The addition of more electoral seats and also trying to pass certain bills, wanting to remove the Privy Council and install the CCJ, to name a few. I believe we will be living in a one party state where there will be no Opposition, no equality and rights. The way I see it the present regime is cementing itself in office for the next 30 or more years.
