Do not put God in Carnival

THE EDITOR: Where is the good fruit borne on the Carnival tree? Apart from the word of God in Galatians 5 and other scriptures pointing out to students of the scriptures that the Carnival celebration is not a healthy activity to engage in, the question to the nation is where is the good fruit borne on the Carnival tree? One sees half naked women and men desecrating their bodies and wining in a vulgar way, no shame or respect for a God who is looking down. There are pick pockets, burglaries, wildness, alcohol is consumed in a greater amount, fights take place, weapons are carried by certain youths and adults. Illegal activities take place, fornication, unholy music is played.

Many non-revellers leave their homes to go to a quieter area to protect their  children and themselves from something that is not fit for their proper and spiritual upbringing. Even some church buildings have to close down at the times of revelry. Is that fair? The same God who tells us that no revellers will enter the Kingdom cannot be associated with Carnival, so one should not put the Holy God in Carnival at all. I commend those who were not a part of the Carnival activities. I hope intelligent people will come to their senses and declare that all this is vanity and see that it is the evil spirits who are always seeking to engage many in activities that are not leading to eternal and heavenly realities. 1 Peter 5:8.
