MerryBoys get points in Carib

CERAMIC MerryBoys took first innings points from Tile It Central Sports in their Carib National Cricket League Division One second round match at Presentation College, Chaguanas, yesterday. The Lincoln Roberts-led Diego Martin team bowled out Central Sports for 105 with former leftarm spinner Ken Hazel taking three wickets for 12 runs. Replying, MerryBoys raced to 123 for five wickets at the close of play.

In the key match at Gilbert Park, home team W Connection Wanderers dismissed defending champions FCB Clarke Road for 154 off 62.3 overs and replied with 106 for six wickets. Homchand Pooran topscored for Clarke Road with 31 while Sanjeev Gooljar was the leading wicket-taker with four for 44 from 23 overs. Veteran Narine Bidhesi 37 and Brent Lezama 44 rallied Wanderers when they batted.
