Just a thought Mr Prime Minister

THE EDITOR: Please permit me to share some of my thoughts about the state of crime in our country. Some ideas I think could work if we want it too. Get together with the Opposition and the public to raise the kidnapping charge to 30 years and no bail. Make it public for all to know, all banks if money is given for ransom, all monies are to be marked. Get in place a phone system, that all phone calls could be traced very easily by all TSTT offices and police stations. If kidnappers place any calls to victim families it can be traced easily.

Hire professional bodies such as the KGB, the British Intelligence, the CIA to work with local police so  you will get professional help, citizens will not say you are not trying and outside help will be fair towards all and not take sides. It is very unfair to all. We have to live in trying times like this, with all these criminal activities, most times we have to be looking behind our backs, it is either you will be robbed, kidnapped or shot at. I think the people in authority are taking us for granted.

If you work hard for your life’s earning and gain some position or money and someone wants to take it from you and kidnap you or your family, I wonder if those in authority even think what kind of trauma we are faced with or worse if you are killed. I think that people in authority just sit down and think about nothing like hermits. Why should this go on, what is our future for ourselves, our children and for our own beloved Trinidad and Tobago. Think about this Mr PM.
