Disconnection
THE EDITOR: Picture this, you are the owner of a property with documentary proof, a building on the said property has become dilapidated and has to be demolished, there is an electricity supply to the building and you want to have it terminated so demolition can take place. So, you go to the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission and make a request to have the supply terminated.
Now hear this! They are saying that a letter from them has to be sent to the premises (they did not say what it would contain) and if there is no one to receive it, on its return to the commission, then and only then would they send a crew to disconnect the supply. One month has gone by and to date nothing has been done. Come on now, we are in the 21st century. Is this 2020 vision? Or is 2020 vision only for the Prime Minister.
