Man Of Class looks good at gallops

CREOLE sprint devil Man Of Class showed he is ready to make the best step in the feature Santa Rosa Dash Handicap with a steady gallop at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday morning. The seven-year-old Bandsman/Touch Of Class horse, in company with Copy Cat, went over 400 metres in a handy 25.13 seconds. But other principles in this 1200 metres race, Sugar Mike, Cash Wager and Fabulous Risk, showed equally they will not be easily beaten. The two-time “Horse of the Year” Sugar Mike, striving to regain some lost prestige after two defeats in his last two outings, stretched out over 600 metres in a good 38.66 seconds.

And Cash Wager stepped 800 metres in 47.3 seconds while Fabulous Risk completed the same trip in 48.2 seconds. Top contenders for the Gleneagle Stakes (Fillies Guineas) over 1800 metres, Arts And Lovers and Flying Millie displayed some good form on Sunday morning. The two-year-old champion stepped 1000 metres in one minute 04.50 seconds while her conqueror, the Jamaican-bred Flying Millie got back in one minute 06.07 seconds for the same distance.
