Tino aims to give his best
ST JOHN’S, ANTI-GUA: Having missed the preceding three Test matches, Tino Best — considered the fastest bowler in the region — is eager to unleash his pace on the South African batsmen in the fourth Digicel Test starting at the Antigua Recreation Ground tomorrow. Best, who broke down on the tour of England last year and recently recovered from an injury sustained in the Carib Beer Series, replaced Reon King for the Windies, who have already lost the series and trail 2-0. The Barbadian said he always relished the opportunity to don the West Indies colours. "It is always a good opportunity to play for the West Indies and I relish the opportunity," Best told reporters. "I think I’m fit. I’m one hundred percent. I’ve been working hard. The physical trainer is doing a great job so far." Best said he feels no extra pressure on his shoulders as he seeks to help the Windies pull a game back. "No, I don’t feel under any pressure. That’s the number one thing you get out of your mind, any pressure on your mind. You just want to go and relax and feel confident. As long as you put on that maroon cap you always feel confident." Best said fans should not expect anything new from him after his lengthy lay-off. "It is the same hard working Tino Best you have known and I’ll just go out there and work hard. Nothing changed too much about my action. I just think I’m a little fitter and stronger than before."
