W Connection make it 5-in-5

W CONNECTION continue to go through the T&T Pro League like a bush fire, thumping Defence Force 5-2 for their fifth consecutive victory. But the league leaders got a big scare when after William Olliviera put them ahead in the 23rd minute of the game at the Ato Boldon Stadium on Wednesday night, Odelle Armstrong headed in the first of a double in the 27th minute for the equaliser.

And Armstrong stunned the Connection faithful with a powerful right-footer in the 33rd to give the Army-Coast Guard combination the lead 2-1. But the Brazilian Connection gave Connection the equaliser with Gefferson Goulart scoring on half-time to equalise, then Ronaldo Viana put them back ahead in the 71st  minute before St Lucian Earl Jean put the game beyond reach in the 77th.
