W CONNECTION continued their relentless quest to capture the 2005 T&T Pro League title when they thrashed Tobago United 7-0 in their sixth round contest at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, yesterday. Andre Toussaint justified his call-up to the 25-member national training squad with a hat-trick , scoring in the 56th, 81st and 86th, while captain and strike partner Earl Jean added a pair in the fourth and 59th. Also finding the back of the net were midfielders Brenton De Leon (51st) and Gefferson Goulart (85th). Caledonia AIA/Fire, with ten points, remain eight points adrift of runaway leaders Connection after they cruised past United Petrotrin 2-0 at the Palo Seco Recreation Ground, with strikes from Devon Modeste in the 47th and Kevin Baptiste in the 69th. A double from Anthony Wolfe saw defending champs North East Stars earning a come-from-behind 2-1 win over CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground. Veteran defender Ansil Elcock got an early goal for Jabloteh but Wolfe responded with his double.
