Politics has own brand of morality

THE EDITOR: We are told that the devil is the father of lies, beyond contradiction then, the invention is really old. I write this on the context of morality in politics.

For the ignorant in political affairs, there is "The act of Political Lying." This is not my saying but that of Jonathan Sweetin on one of his essays. Why, then, did one of our political scientists out of UWI not come out and clear the air on the question of morality?

However, it is not clear who first reduced lying into an art, and adapted it to politics. This art, when applied in politics is for gaining power and preserving it; and for revenge when the power is lost.

As a result masters of the art of lying will be in power; plain and simple. So there you have it, politics does have its own brand of morality.
