Unchanged squad for last two ODIs

THE West Indies selectors have named an unchanged squad for the last two Digicel one-day internationals against South Africa scheduled for Trinidad on Saturday and Sunday. West Indies surrendered the series after their one-run loss to the Proteas at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday and will now seek to make amends in the weekend matches.

Convenor of Selectors Michael "Joey" Carew said in a West Indies Cricket Board release yesterday that "some bad cricket towards the end," cost the team the match, "although there was also some bad luck," as two runs were not credited to the score during the West Indies innings. "Nevertheless we go in with same squad and we are confident that we will win both games in Trinidad this weekend," Carew said. Captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul, still seeking his first win as West Indies captain, will hope the team can turn their fortunes around in Trinidad after coming so close to a victory in Barbados.

The squad is:

Shivnarine Chanderpaul (captain), Christopher Gayle, Xavier Marshall, Runako Morton Ramnaresh Sarwan, Brian Lara, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Courtney Browne, Corey Collymore, Daren Powell, Fidel Edwards, and Ian Bradshaw.
