Super Grey looks super at Santa Rosa

SUPER GREY galloped with authority and seems ready to give Emile Ramsammy a winning ride on Monday, Indian Arrival Day, Union Park Turf Club-sponsored Arima Race Club Day 16 programme at Santa Rosa Park, Arima. The grey Jamaican-bred five-year-old horse clocked a sharp 48.81 seconds for an 800 metres gallop at Santa Rosa Park on Thursday morning and is fit and ready for his 1750 metres engagement in the Indian Arrival Trophy Restricted Handicap. Dottie’s Way who holds the engagement for the 1700 metres co-feature Eric “Colt” Durant Memorial Handicap on the turf course, shawed some sparkle in a 1000 metres gallop completed in one minute 03.92 seconds.

But Fantastic Story, the mount of Brian Harding who holds the same engagement, was slighter better over the trip clocked in one minute 03.36 seconds. Also showing his well-being was Prince Charming the ride of Rajpaul Rajkumar in the feature $125,000 UPTC Guineas over 1800 metres, who looked very full of himself in a 400 metres spin in a handy 25.31 seconds. Yesterday, most of the gallops action centred around pacing, but Hollywood Beauty who is entered for the Captain Cubitt Rundle Trophy over 1100 metres, sprinted 600 metres in 37.74 seconds. Seeed and Laura’s Boy galloping together, were timed in 38.29 for a similar trip, while Pudge stopped the clock at 37.70 seconds and Karzai returned in 38.16 seconds over the same trip.
