In memory of the victims of crime, violence

THE EDITOR: As a way of honouring the memory or Camelia Caesar and all victims of crime and violence and to celebrate her birthday on June 14, we, all those who knew and loved her and continue to miss her smile and gentle loving ways, offer this prayer of peace to all.

Pray for peace, our nation is in havoc. Pray this peace prayer daily as a symbol of our commitment to restoring our community and building positive outlets and resources for those whose lives have been forever changed.

PEACE PRAYER

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,

Where there is hatred let me sow love

Where there is injury, pardon

Where there is doubt, faith

Where there is despair, hope

Where there is darkness, light

And where there is sadness, joy

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand. To be loved as to love, for it is in giving, that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
