S&G gears for Pro League

SPORTS AND Games, the popular sports goods firm, will now serve as the official equipment provider of the TT Pro League.

Making this announcement was Pro League chief executive officer (CEO) Dexter Skeene on Friday, at the Uniform and Equipment Sponsorship Launch.

The launch was staged at Sports and Games outlet in Westmall, Westmoorings.

According to Skeene, the seven Pro League outfits "will receive economical prices on the purchase of uniforms, discounts to teams on all equipment purchases and uniforms will be custom designed to suit the individual needs of each club."

As part of a merchandising agreement towards the clubs and its fans, "Sports and Games will manufacture team replicas, which will include jerseys, shorts and team memorabilia."

Those products will be available at all Sports and Games outlets, with the League receiving 20 percent of all sales of team memorabilia.

Holders of 2005 season tickets can also use their individual pass as a discount card at any outlet, with the guarantee of ten percent discount of the purchase price of any equipment or apparel.

The former national midfielder/striker also expressed his gratitude towards Sports and Games for assisting the League. "Our organisation continue to set the standard to show that we are serious and committed to the development of sport in Trinidad and Tobago," he said.

"Indeed, this collaborative initiative between these two premier organisations will augur well for the long-term development of football, in particular, and sports, in general."
