W CONNECTION showed that last week’s 1-0 defeat to CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh in the T&T Pro League was a mere aberration as they hammered Caledonia AIA/Fire 3-0 in ninth round action at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva yesterday. Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo Viana gave the "Savonetta Lads" an early strike after eight minutes before captain, St Lucian striker Earl Jean, widened the lead in the 28th. And all hopes that Fire had in denying Connection’s eighth win of the season ended when combative playmaker Gefferson Goulart found the back of the net in the 76th. Defence Force overtook Jabloteh into second spot in the standings after a 1-1 draw away to North East Stars at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground. Kayode McKinnon put North East in front in the 19th minute before midfielder Kwesi Smith equalised for the Army/Coast Guard combination three minutes later.
