Cut out the ‘liming’ and get on with your studies

SangrE Grande Government Primary school held their Graduation Exercise on Thursday at the school’s Auditorium, Oropouche Road, Sangre Grande.  The theme being “Press On and Follow Your Dream” Anna Hayes, who delivered the feature address advised the graduating class not to “lime” as they know that lime is sour and it often spoils and as a result they should not make their studies sour and spoil their future. At all times get in company with friends who are interested in their studies.

Hayes also told the students that at all times they should respect their teachers and those in authority as they are the ones who will be responsible for guiding them and preparing them for the future and in achieving their educational goals in life. She also called upon parents to give their children the support they need and at all times to be role models inspite of any negatives. The children after graduating were in their moment of glory as an announcement was made that   the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) results was at the school and they were to receive it before leaving. Parents and students hugged and kissed each other as they opened their envelopes with the SEA results. This brought a mixture of joy  and tears to students.
