Coaching School stay ahead in East
MANU JOHN grabbed a double and ex-national shurland David and Leslie Holligan got one goal each for East/West Coaching School to down Joe Public 4-2. This result maintained their leadership in the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association Eastern Conference in pursuit of the Arthur “Jap” Brown Memorial Trophy. John’s goal saw the scores knotted up 2-2 at the half-time interval, when matched by Kestor Alexander and Ishmael Daniel. But Holligan fired Coaching School ahead and David scored to ice the victory. Coast Guard continued their chase of the leaders with a 5-0 thumping of Tunapuna Titans also on Tuesday.
Ronnell Grant notched a double for the Coast Guardsmen, Terryl Danzell, Darnell Huggins and a Keston Venus own-goal completed the scoring. Combine FC whipped Club TSTT 3-1 in another match after Don Endeavour got an equaliser to Jameel Perry’s (Combine) first of a double. James Thomas broke the deadlock firing Combine ahead and Perry got his second and the match winner. House Of Dread clobbered Trincity Nationals 6-1 to leave the losers entrenched at the foot of the standings. Michael Waldron scored a hat-trick, Winston Berassa got two and Zambo Swift the other for the winners, while Richard Paul got the consolation.
