Three more gold medals for Rahael


SAMANTHA RAHAEL captured three more gold medals on the penultimate day of the National Long Course Swimming Championships, at the Marlins Swimpool, Westmoorings on Sunday.


The 12-year-old Marlins’ representative got her first victory of the day by whipping her field in the 100-metre butterfly, clocking one minute 11.08 seconds, followed by Stingrays’ Meagan Mark 1:15.97 and Silver Fins’ Kadeja Phillip 1:16.20.


Rahael later copped the 400-metre individual medley in five minutes 41.89 seconds, ahead of La Joya’s Renee Gordon 6:15.10, and the 50m freestyle in 29.59 seconds, with Flying Fish’s Shanice Mohammed 30.26 and Blue Dolphins’ Leslyn Alexander 30.45 trailing. The meet was expected to end last night.
