And the promising three-year-old The Night Man, a big fan favourite before going wrong, showed he was coming back to himself with a 400 metres spin in 27.03 seconds.

Jamaican-bred Snooky Lou who won many admirers when finishing third to Privilege over 1350 metres on her debut run locally, looked full of herself in an 800 metres run together with On The Mark in a good 49.95 seconds.
