Abductor lets screaming schoolgirl go
A MAN panicked after he abducted a 15-year-old schoolgirl because she refused to stop screaming. She was eventually released unharmed, police said Up to late yesterday police were still searching for the suspect. A police report stated that about 3.30 pm on Saturday the girl was standing on Mucurapo Street, San Fernando, awaiting transportation to her home. She boarded a purple B-15 Nissan Sentra, driven by a man who has been described as dark in complexion, short, with grey hair. The schoolgirl asked the man to take her to Marabella, police said. Instead, the man swerved onto the San Fernando by-pass, automatically locking all the doors in the process. He turned off onto Rushworth Street and proceeded to Independence Avenue. When the girl protested, the driver pulled out a knife and told her to be quiet. But the frightened teenager who was seated in the back, began screaming and pounding on the windows. The driver threatened to kill her but she continued screaming and banging the windows. The driver subsequently dropped off the crying girl on Independence Avenue and sped off. San Fernando police are continuing investigations.
