Miss Lover Lover like a bullet

MISS LOVER LOVER had a bullet workout at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday morning. And by this run, the five-year-old Edmund de Freitas-trained mare is sure to be in the frame in Monday’s co-feature Lexus President’s Cup over 1900 metres. Relishing the easy going, Miss Lover Lover went through her paces zest to clock an excellent 46.97 seconds for the gallop over 800 metres. Also showing his chances must be respected in the co-feature was triple crown winner of two years ago, Top Of The Class. The Freshly Squeezed/Crescen-do offspring looked very impressive in clocking 35.07 seconds for a 600 metres gallop. The improving Priceless Fame looks sure to at least push pre-race favourite Flying Millie in the other “big race,” the Fortuner IMV Oakes for fillies over 2000 metres.

This filly who is in the charge of Glenn Mendez stepped 600 metres in a good 35.15 seconds. Go Geronbimo contiunes to impress at the gallops but does not seem to carry his form into his races. Yesterday morning, he went over 400 metres in a sparkling 24.85 seconds and turfites are forewarned to keep an eye out for this one in the Camry 1350 metres race for three-year-old maidens. Showing some good speed yesterday too was River Way who holds the enmgagement in the SR5 Optional Claiming race over 2350 metres. This JD Gump/River Mist gelding galloped over 600 metres in a handy 38 seconds flat.
