PTSC apologises to the travelling public

Recently, the Editor of this newspaper received (and published) a letter from a citizen who had been a passenger on one of the Public Transport Service Corporation’s (PTSC) newly commissioned articulated buses. In the letter, the citizen complained that while travelling in one of these buses, a faulty air-conditioning system began to leak profusely  onto seats as well as passengers, and that this was unacceptable, especially considering that this was professed to be a “new” vehicle.

Yesterday, the PTSC issued a statement, wishing to advise its customers that the problems associated with the faulty air-conditioning system in the new buses have been corrected and that the “water seepage” had been successfully repaired. The corporation exp-lained that the problem arose from a malfunction in the electronic control system which had to be adjusted to satisfy local temperature conditions. The PTSC expressed its regrets for the inconvenience and apologises for the discomfort experienced by its customers.
