TT to host Under-20 Football qualifiers
TRINIDAD AND Tobago will host a four-team Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Women’s Under-20 World Cup Final Round Qualification from November 12-16. The TT lasses recently won Group "A", which was held in St Lucia and also featured Grenada and St Vincent, in the First Round Qualification. And the respective group winners will face off in November for a spot in the CONCACAF Final Round of qualifiers at a date to be announced, following which, at least two teams will be guaranteed places in the 2006 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Russia. Meanwhile, the CFU qualifiers continue in September, with Suriname hosting Anguilla, Dominica and the Netherlands Antilles in Group "B" from September 20-24; Antigua/Barbuda and St Kitts/Nevis will co-host Group "C" from September 26 to October 2, which includes Bahamas and Jamaica; while the British and US Virgin Islands, as well as Haiti, will compete in Group "D" with hosts Dominican Republic from September 21-25.
