Another win looms for ‘Lions’

JOE PUBLIC seems set to claim another three points in the Sportworld Super League when they play Media 21 FC in the 18th round of matches today.

The "Eastern Lions" will be heading to the Mt Hope Junior Secondary School Ground to meet Media 21 FC, who have only gathered two points in their previous 17 matches.

Meanwhile Joe Public, with 42 points, have a five-point gap ahead of Crab Connection atop the table, and will be going all out for a 14th win this season. The Crabs are also gunning for their 12th victory this year with full points versus PLIPDECO Caroni at Gilbert Park, Couva.

Third-placed Police will be also seeking a win against Stokely Vale at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, while fourth-placed WASA Clean and White host Couva Players United at the WASA Ground in St Joseph and, at Canaan, Bon Accord, Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix host Superstar Rangers.

All matches will get going from 4 pm, with the exception of the battle of the lower-table teams between M&M Harvard and Maraval Youth Academy at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo from 6 pm.
