Joe Public, Central United top women’s league


JOE PUBLIC clinched the Premier Division while Eugene Construction Central United copped the First Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Football Association 2005 season recently.


The Tunapuna-based club were unbeaten in their six matches in the league, winning five and drawing the other with a tally of 20 goals scored and one conceeded.


Real Dimension were next with three wins, two defeats and one draw (10 points), while Petrotrin was third with two wins and three losses (six points) and Vandykes were beaten five times and were only able to salvage a solitary draw (one point). In the First Division, Central amassed 21 points after seven wins in eight matches, followed by Memphis on 16, United FC on 12, Rio Claro on four and Valencia on three.
