$5,000 in Futcraze at UWI

Organised by the Event Management Class at the University of the West Indies (UWI) St Augustine campus, the competition will take place at the UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre.

There will be 12 male and four female teams bidding for honours, with the footballers, as well as the supporters on the day, entitled to a number of give-aways, including vouchers and hampers.

According to a press release, "the Event Management course is part of the curriculum for the Sports Management degree offered at the university.

"It is intended to give final-year students a first-hand experience of the challenges in hosting and managing (sport-related) events, and also to give a better understanding of all the intricacies involved."

Entry fee for each team (having a maximum of 12 players) is $100.

Deadline is November 18 with the registration process taking place at the UWI SPEC office.
