J RATTASINGH Tyre Phase IV Nationals are running away with the Premier League title in the Super Industrial Services Limited-sponsored Central Football Association. Despite a 0-0 tie on Wednesday last with Cap Off Youths at Woodford Lodge Ground in Chaguanas, the Phase IV men shut out Las Lomas United 2-0 on Saturday to take their points tally to 35. Taze Tennyson dribbled his way from the half line before firing a right footer into the net in the 65th minute to put Phase IV ahead. And Glenwell John made sure of the points when he capitalised on a goalkeeping blunder to net in the 88th minute on Sunday action. Couva Perseverance and CZU played to a 0-0 draw at St Mary’s Recreation Ground and Cap Off capped a good week with a 2-2 draw with Leeds FC at Woodford Lodge Ground. Emilio Smith scored in the seventh minute for Cap Off to lead only for Marcus Blackett to equalise from the penalty spot in the 40th. Smith scored again in the 56th minute after Keon Paul was fouled and a penalty awarded. But in the 79th David Samuel got the second equalising goal for Leeds.
