Phase IV Nationals continue to dominate central football


J RATTANSINGH TYRE Phase IV Nationals are continuing their dominance in the Super Industrial Services Limited-sponsored Central Football Association with a 5-1 thumping of CZU.


Glenwell John sent the Nationals on the way in last Wednesday match at St Mary’s Recreation Ground from the seventh minute, and he added a second one minute after the resumption.


Ernest Sobers struck twice, first in the 51st minute and again in the 67th to put the match out of reach of CZU. Atiba Alves added the fifth in the 82th before CZU got a consolation in the 87th.


The Nationals now lead the standings by a clear ten points over Las Lomas United and Cap Off Youths.


Perseverance Sports were on the wrong end of seven goals in their two matches, first being shut out 4-0 by Couva Players United at Woodford Lodge Ground.


Keda Hercules doubled in the tenth and 27th minutes, while Kitwana Wilkinson added one in the 35th and Roderick Christopher the final goal in the 79th. Leeds FC handed Perse-verance a 3-0 beating on Thursday last at the same venue.
