Good Fellas in Blue Ribbon semi-finals

Thursday night at the Chinese Association Hall, St Ann’s, ex-Malvern star Franklyn Ollivierre notched a hat-trick for Good Fellas, while K Malcolm scored twice and one each from Devin Jack and S King.

Also progressing to the semis were A Touch Of Puncheon who defeated Flipper Youths 5-3.

Kevin Peters led the scoring for Puncheon with a hat-trick, while Joseph Peters and Kirt Williams added one a-piece. Francis Yearwood netted two goals for Flipper while Russell Ahong added one.

Semi-finals and finals were scheduled to be contested at the same St Ann’s venue last night.

On Wednesday night, Quincy Joseph registered a beaver-trick as Pompeyi remained in the hunt to successfully defend their Open crown. Anthony Peters and Javon Skeete also found the target for Pompeyi, who got past Flipper Youths 6-4. Ahong notched a pair for Flipper, with a goal a-piece from Yearwood and Ricardo Durham. Meanwhile, Unity also booked a place in the semi-finals after a narrow 5-4 win over Junior Mafia.

Keston Jordan and Rankin Assoon both scored twice for Unity, while Brent Pope got the other. For Junior Mafia, Jerwyn Balthazar and Jerome Bennett netted two goals a-piece.

Family dismantled Home Construction 10-2 while, in another Open fixture, Mac Foods and Child battled to a pulsating 8-8 draw.

One match was contested in the 40-45 age group, with Pioneers edging British American 3-2 to progress to the semi-finals. Mario Matamorro, Terry Waldron and Rawle Nurse were the goal-getters for Pioneers while Ian Neutrice and Andrew Crichlow were on target for British American.

In the Over-45 category, Carlsberg Gentlemen devoured Lions FC 11-2, and later took care of Pompeyi 6-0, while Belle Limers cruised past Beer Essentials 7-1.

Pompeyi were scheduled to play Unity in one semi-final, with A Touch-Of-Puncheon taking on Good Fellas in the other in the Open Division.

Belle Limers play Carlsberg Gentlemen and British American tackle Pioneers in the Over-40 Division semi-finals

And the Over-45 Division semi-finals will match Belle Limers against Avidas BC, while Carlsberg Gentlemen meet Pioneers.
