The runners — expected to be approximately 350 — will face the starters’ gun at 4 pm.

The overall men’s and women’s champ will each pocket $6,000 with the runners-up collecting $4,500, third-placed $3,000, fourth-placed $2,000 and fifth-placed $1,000.

There are also similar cash prizes in the respective age groups — Under-15, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60-and-over — with the winners (men and women) receiving $200, runners-up $150 and third-placed $100.

Other prizes are in store for Mayaro residents, Mayaro area schools and companies, corporate citizens, physically challenged and special prizes worth $150 for the youngest male and female, the oldest male and female, as well as the youngest and oldest Mayaro area male and female residents.
