$4M in coke in shampoo bottles

LIQUID COCAINE with a street value of $4 million was seized at Crown Point Airport. The drugs were found concealed in shampoo bottles. Two Dutch nationals were arrested by officers of the Organised Crime and Narcotics Bureau and the Firearms Interdiction Unit as they were about to board a plane at the airport. The first suspect was arrested around 8 pm by the officers on duty in the departure lounge.


According to reports, the officers saw a 37-year-old Dutch national acting in a suspicious manner. The man was interviewed and when his luggage searched, the liquid cocaine was found concealed in shampoo bottles. The suspect was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine. An hour later, the same officers searched the luggage of a 27-year-old Dutch national and found more  liquid cocaine in shampoo bottles. Both men were supposed to leave on Martin Air flight to Holland on Friday night. They will instead appear before a Scarborough Magis-trate tomorrow.
