Christmas cheers with Al Roberts

SCORES of family, friends and well-wishers turned up at Al and Pat Roberts’ Glencoe home for their annual Boxing night party and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Guests were treated to a wide array of food and drink that kept them going till the wee hours of yesterday morning. Once again, Pat Roberts out did herself in the preparation of the food that included curry duck, lappe, tattoo, agouti, ochro and rice and buss-up shot. And as usual no one was able to outlast the bar much to the chagrin of some.

Then as the evening wore on, Al introduced entertainer Skatie who immediately got guests on their feet as he delivered songs of the season, as well as his wide repertoire of other selections. Among those celebrating on the night were American Ambassador Dr Roy Austin, political analyst Dr Selwyn Ryan, Trade Minister Ken Valley, contractor Michael Patty, Poison bandleader Michael Headley and businessmen Errol Jones and Steve Marcano.
