Soldiers move up the ranks

COMMANDING OFFICER of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment Colonel Edmund Dillon has urged newly promoted soldiers to use their rank, authority and duties for the benefit of the army. He did so during a ceremony at Defence Force Headquarters on Knox Street, Port-of-Spain to mark the promotion of 61 soldiers. Among the soldiers moving up the ranks are five who were promoted from captain to major, two who moved up from sergeant to captain and 54 corporals who have been made sergeants. Colonel Dillon challenged the soldiers to aim for higher and reminded the gathering of the Regiment’s commitment to law and order.
