Cops raid brothel, arrest 23

THIRTEEN women and ten men will appear before a Tunapuna Magistrate tomorrow charged with lewd and suggestive behaviour and operating a brothel. The women include 11 Colombian nationals. They were arrested at about midnight on Friday in an exercise at the Limousine Pub, Wilkinson Street, Tunapuna. According to reports, police raided the pub and saw several women and men in compromising and suggestive positions. The arrested persons range in age from 20 to 32. The foreigners are expected to be interviewed by immigration officials before charges are laid. The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Ghany and included Supt Philip, ASP Farrell, Insp Modeste, Sgt Worrel, Cpl Groomes and other officers of the Northern Division Task Force.
