$44,000 in NSL Sunday cricket

NON-TRINIDAD and Tobago Cricket Board cricketers will get a chance to show off their talent in a $44,000 Nationwide Sports League Sunday 30-overs series soon. According to information released, winners of the Premier Division will collect $20,000 with the runners-up getting $8,000, third $5,000 and fourth $3,000. There will be a $1,000 award to outstanding individual players in the division. And the Division One winners will get $5,000, runners-up $2,000 and third $1,000.


This division has been created to give young cricketers a chance to make it into their community teams. Apart from these team prizes, there will be $500 individual awards. NSL have made it clear that no TTCB players are allowed to participate. Action in the series is scheduled to bowl off on February 3 at various community venues. There will be a meeting of interested clubs in the South Zone on January 18 at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella from 7.30 pm.
