Diego man is murder #20

DIEGO Martin resident Kestar “Jaggie” Jaggessar, 29, became the 20th person murdered this year when he was shot dead in a track after leaving home to buy cigarettes yesterday. According to police, Jaggessar left his Upper Factory Road, Diego Martin home at about 8 am saying he was going to a parlour. “He bought the cigarettes and was returning home about 8.40 am when he was walking along a track. We then heard several shots,” a resident told Newsday.

“Knowing Jaggie had just passed there, we looked up to see him stumbling through this track clutching his chest with blood dripping. He ran to a nearby house where he called on a friend to contact the emergency services. “By the time they arrived, he was dead.” The dead man was shot to the chest, face and head. When Newsday visited the home relatives refused to speak. Visiting the scene were ASP Julius, Sgt Dann and Sgt Hudson of the Homicide Bureau, who is continuing inquiries.
