6 kids hurt in crash
SIX school children and an adult required treatment for minor injuries while another student remains hospitalised at Arima District Hospital (ADH) after an accident in Arouca yesterday afternoon. According to reports, a school bus with more than 12 students from the Arouca Roman Catholic Primary School and the Arouca Anglican Primary School was proceeding west along Albert Street in Arouca, at 4.30 pm, when a car proceeding from south to north slammed in to the vehicle, causing it to tumble over. Passersby and persons nearby removed the injured students and driver from the vehicle and took them to the ADH where they were treated. Some of those injured had sustained gashes to the heads, while one student sustained an injury to the hand. The driver of the car, who lives in Arouca, was also treated and discharged.
