WI Under-19s win in Pakistan
KARACHI: West Indies whipped Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) XI Under-19 by 36 runs in their opening match at National Stadium yesterday. PCB XI Skipper Yasim, a left-arm spinner, took the first two wickets and later scored 51 off 49 balls with eight boundaries and a six. West Indies Under-19 medium pacer Kemar Roach snapped up three wickets for 44 runs in his ten overs and PCB XI were bowled out for 202 in 202 in 47.5 overs. Saadullah Ghouri hit eight boundaries for his 47. Earlier inserted to bat first, West Indies mustered 238 for eight wickets in their 50 overs. The opening pair of William Perkins and Richard Ramdeen gave their flying start of 73 runs. Ramdeen, Kieron Pollard both emerged joint top-scorer with 38 each while Shamarh Brooks scored 35. West Indies will face Pakistan Under-19 in the second One-Day International tomorrow at the same venue.
