Following worthless example
THE EDITOR: I have noticed a series of photographs in the print media of fete patrons where the male dancer would be jamming and gyrating his pelvic area against the woman’s buttocks obviously simulating a sexual act. Sometimes the woman would be bending, sticking out her rear end. This behaviour is obscene and vulgar. At the conclusion of a function I attended recently, the DJ played some calypso music. Several children between the ages of seven to ten years danced to the music. Several of the boys were gyrating on the girls’ buttocks obviously imitating the adults they have seen. To my absolute amazement and disgust, some of the parents were actually encouraging their children to dance this way. KRISHENDATH GOOCHARAN Executive Member National Alliance for Reconstruction
