Cops hold ten, seize gun, drugs
Officers of the North-Eastern Task Force yesterday arrested ten persons and seized a gun and a quantity of drugs during an exercise in the North-Eastern district. Police reports revealed that officers went to Thompson Street, San Juan, where they arrested a family of four after a .22 revolver was seized. Officers then went to Ramkissoon Trace, San Juan, where they arrested a 23-year old man wanted for several robberies.
The man, who was hiding from the police for the past two years, was wanted for robberies in the San Juan area. Two suspects wanted for robbing a Mt Lambert gas station were also held. The same team of officers also arrested two teenagers, 15 and 16, outside the Aranjuez Private Secondary School. The two were allegedly selling drugs to students when they were arrested. The exercise was led by acting Cpl Alexander and Cpl Kitson, and assisted by PCs Deja, Hosein, Reyes, Toney, McMillan and WPC des Vignes.
