Heart attack or heartburn?

But according to the US Department of Health and Human Services, it’s unlikely that pain from indigestion would spread to other parts of the body, as a typical heart attack does.
Indigestion, frequently accompanied by nausea, often stems from eating too much, too quickly, or the wrong kinds of foods.

If you have any of these symptoms, they could indicate something more serious than simple indigestion:

* Vomiting, weight loss, or appetite loss.

* Black, tarry stools or blood in vomit.

* What feels like indigestion accompanied by shortness of breath; pain radiating to the jaw, neck or arm; or sweating.

If you do have any of these symptoms, see a doctor immediately.
