They defeated Success Laventille Composite School in a key contest 33-24 courtesy 15 points from Jhoney Thompson.

In another match Malick Secondary Comprehensive literally clobbered St Jude ‘s 82-2 in a no-contest.

Yvana Charles led the scoring with 20 points and teammate Fanta Patterson got 18. Curlene Alexander also contributed 12 points in the win for the Malick girls who led 32-2 at the half.

Malick literally had no opposition in the match and took advantage of a weak opposition.

The International School also triumphed in the Schools Basketball League when they defeated St Anthony’s College 69-40.

Hoby Temple scored a game-high 23 points that guided them to the win, although Imo Williams and Ajuma Jaramogi each scored 20 and ten points respectively for the Westmooring Tigers.

In another girls’ match Morvant Laventille Secondary School got the better of Malick 32-25 in the Open Division.

Joe Lisa Cooper scored 28 out of the winning 32 points in the match while Patterson was the highest scorer for the Malick girls getting just eight points on the evening.

A day later, the Malick Boys avenged the defeat, when they whipped Hype 54-32 in a match they also dominated.

Sherod Peters had 20 points in the win and Ashton Demurrel added 18. For Hype Coffie Rose got 17 points.
